EMCal/RICH trigger (ERT)

The EMCal/RICH trigger (ERT) selects events with high-pT electromagnetic probes or the presence of heavy flavor decays.

RICH4x5 ADC-values correspond approximately to: 920=3p.e.

These values are estimated from Run 9 ADC sum analysis. The real thresholds have to be determined offline. They depend on the gains/HV settings of the EMCal modules. The EMCal values in parantheses correspond to the threshold of the PbGl.

~25GeV dynamic range (√s=200GeV)
2x2 DAC-values correspond approximately to [energy/tile]: 24=400MeV, 29=600MeV and 34=800MeV
4x4 DAC-values correspond approximately to [energy/tile]: 29=1.4GeV, 30=2.1GeV, 31=2.8GeV and 32=3.5GeV
RICH4x5 ADC-values correspond approximately to: 920=3p.e.

These values are estimated from Run 2 and a laser scan. The real thresholds have to be determined offline. They depend on the gains/HV settings of the EMCal modules. The EMCal values in parantheses correspond to the threshold of the PbGl.
