- ``Hadron
Production in Relativistic Heavy Ion Interactions and the search for
the Quark-Gluon Plasma''
These are lectures which I prepared for the Winter School in Puri,
Orissia, India in December 1989, which were published but not
delivered.
Chapters 1-7 are an overview which includes some details of
experimental techniques and analysis such as: 6.2) Resolution Smearing
of a Momentum Spectrum; 6.3) Shift in a spectrum due to the effects of
binning; 7) Kinematics and Lorentz transformations including the
parent/daughter suppression factor (7.5), lateral distance on a wall
between 2 photons from pizero decay for fixed energy of the parent
(7.4) or fixed energy of one photon (7.6); this chapter ends with some
philosophy.
Chapters 8-16 are a review of some topics in High Energy and
Relativistic Heavy Ion Physics at that time. Unfortunately, to see the
figures, you'll have to read the book, ``Quark Gluon Plasma'', Editors,
B. Sinha, S. Pal and S. Raha, Research Reports in Physics,
(Springer-Verlag, Berlin, 1990).
