Our Goals

After we are through...

• you should have some notion of the difference between the procedural (Fortran,C) and object-oriented (C++, Java) programming approach;

• you should be able to understand existing C++ programs;

• you should be be able to use existing class libraries;

• you should be able to develop simple classes of your own.

• you should be familiar enough with the concept so that you can continue to learn just from the books.
