Run-2 Efficiencies in EMCal (Quick ref.)

This page gives a short summary of the programs used to compute Run-2 EMCal efficiencies.
The procedure and outcome of all this is presented in detail in the Analysis Note 140.

1. Single-particle simulated PISA hits files:

Official production by the "Simulation Team" (photon, high-pT pi0, eta): Simulation Projects 9, 23, 3, Filenames & Storage.

Custom-made production script files (pi0): pisa_phoncs3.sh (on phoncs machines), run_pisa_on.sh (on rcas machines).

2. Single-particle simulated DST production:

Library: libpreco.so in PISA-to-DST mode (gea node *not* copied out <--- 1 line in the official pisaReco.C commented out).

Typical script file: preco_phoncs3.sh, which runs the ROOT macro: myPISAtoDST.C

3. Real + Simulated DST merging:

Library: libemcEmbedRun2.so
Typical script file: embed_10percent_production2.sh

4. Efficiency calculations:

Library: libemcEfficiency.so
Typical ROOT macro (efficiency file production): doeff_6percent_1stpass.C, doeff_6percent_2ndpass.C
Typical ROOT macro (analysis of efficiency file): get_efficiency_factors.C, or play with the comparator.C
