Provisional Run Number "Server" -- the Server-By-Hand Page


Here is the info I've collected so far on the run numbers used in the VRDC event
simulations.  The "integer run numbers" were collected phenomenologically from
those files that I ran through the CRS farm during Iteration 12.  Not all PRDF
files were processed at that time.  I am still collecting more info (from
people's web pages) to complete this page.  Also, a rename of some of the
signal files is pending, so that info is incomplete at this time.

Please review this page, then pick a run number range for your new simulated runs
and E-mail me your selections, so I can document them here.  The idea is to have
ONE PLACE where people can see a SIMPLE OVERVIEW of simulated PRDF run number space.

The integer run numbers were determined from the "RUN#" field of the Standard Name via the following map (which I quote from this E-mail): The integer run number will consist of the lower five (i.e., numeric) digits of the "RUN#" field PLUS a large offset value. The assignments for the offset, so far: 100000000 = CC-J 200000000 = Tarun (RCF) 300000000 = Andrani (RCF) If other people need to assign themselves an offset, please use offsets that are greater than or equal to 10000000 (NOTE that this new lower limit to the offset is a FACTOR OF 10 SMALLER than the above CC-J offset; ==> I want to open up a little more of the offset "subnet space" below what we've used so far.) This map is out of date, but it's a start.
