"Hard" results 2: Hadron composition at high-pT [nucl-ex/0112006]
Baryon (p, p) yield larger than pion
yield for pT>2 GeV/c in central colls.
High-pT baryon/meson ratio~0.3 in
p+p,p collisions (ISR,FNAL)
Supports conclusion of enhanced
suppression of pions
Different interpretations proposed:
- Hydro (strong collective radial flow) + hadron rescattering
- "Exotic" mechanisms: Baryon junctions + jet quenching in pion channel
- Color-Glass-condensate explains also the observed mT-scaling ...
