Pattern Recognition Studies Done
High efficiency with single tracks
Studied pattern recognition and resolution with “high-threshold” Central Au-Au events mixed with single tracks cover North Arm acceptance and p=(2,15) GeV/c
detector with only 2 gaps at station 3,
detector with no anode readout,
detector with no anode readout+2 gaps at station 3
Looked at same configurations with low-threshold Central events mixed with single tracks
reasonable efficiency with Central events, but still have not
determined optimum setting of parameters so that combinatorics are
kept to a reasonable level while still maintaining efficiency, especially
with no anode readout/no anode readout+2 gaps at station 3
