- LANL, BNL, UNM and NMSU factories complete
- Work on chamber building started in all factories
- Magnet infrastructure and scaffolding designs completed (review this week)
- Chamber gas system progressed to conceptual design and now under review
- Alignment system taken over by RIKEN/Kyoto and transferred to BNL. Mounts and test system being designed
- Electronics:
- In-magnet mechanics design completed, reviewed and now under construction at NMSU (AMC)
- Preamp chips ordered and test stand underway
- Prototype CROC, Controller and backplane boards built and being tested
- Other board layouts nearing completion
- Production planning underway
- Computing:
- Pattern recognition software modified and used to verify current tracker configuration will work well in Central Events
- Capable of producing real-data type Monte Carlo events, analyzing and writing out Data Summary tapes in PHENIX formats
- Participated in Mock Data Challenges and analyzed J/y in Central Au-Au events
