Algorithm Features
Allows skipped gaps (including gap 1).
Allows programmable search widths (SWI) up to +/-3.
- SWIs may be different for different gaps and different depths.
Allows roads that only penetrate to the 2nd gap.
Allows cutting on showers.
- Saito found majority of background from penetrating p’s, 4-10GeV. Can’t reject with improved tracking, only with PID.
- p’s ID’d by too many hits in a particular gap within a +/- 1l window about the steered road.
- Cut values may be different for different gaps/depths.
