Di-electron pairs as chiral symmetry is restored

• Di-electron rates in heavy ion collisions calculated with:

  • qq->ee
    • or
  • full hadronic code with all higher resonances

• are equal!

• Quark-Hadron duality

  • present in high energy pp measurements at pɭ.5GeV
  • now in heavy ion collisions at lower momenta

• implies quarks may indeed be the proper degree of freedom
