OTHER ISSUES: DCM interface
In order to prepare for a full system test, we have started mapping out what
it takes, in terms of hardware, to do this test.
The picture below is of some of the MVD optical and electrical connections to
the VME crate that houses the transition modules (between MVD and DCM), as
well as trigger- and timing-and-control modules.
Below is a block diagram of the logical layout of
functional modules for the full test. A lot of the hardware does not exist
yet.
