On the morning of September 23, 1999 the first sector of
TEC /PC3 was installed on the East Carriage of PHENIX.
The 14,000 channel, 1 ton detector element was prepped,
the crew was well rested and eager, the weather was clear with temperatures in the low 80's. Only gravity stood in our way! Once we realized we could use the crane we were not to be denied.
