Hard Scattering PWG
- Hard processes vs nuclear geometry in Au+Au,
p+A, impact parameter and associated multiplicity (and/or E_T, ZCAL)
dependence:
- Simple parameterization of s dependence of
mid rapidity single inclusive in p-p, \bar{p}-p collisions:
- WWW page. Will include public and private
(PHENIX only) access
- Gamma/pi separation will be worked on by:
- Back-to-back hadron physics:
- We must work with EMcal & spin to get
accurate cluster and physics info for fast MC which will overlay hard
processes events on Au+Au with correct physics.
- EMcal response to gamma/pi^0(eta) and
hadrons:
- Energy loss in D-Y and other structure fn
issues:
- A. Drees will find student for high p_T
hadrons (pions)
- J. Lajoie will start thinking about flavor
tagging and correlations in jets
- C. Maguire will oversee Fast MC incorporating
accurate response and accurate hard-scattering physics.
- A.Petridis will make some improvements in D-Y
central arm event generator
- J. Moss, shadowing with high p_T muons.
