A program on phoncs0 to configure the muTr calibration system ------------------------------------------------------------- MJL - 10/30/00 I have installed a program for controlling the calibration via arcnet on phoncs0 in /home/phoncs/mutr/mjl. When you log onto phoncs0 so a "setuponcs". I think that you probably need to log into the phoncs account for this program to work because it writes some files as it works in the above directory. Run "calib" and answer the questions, e.g. the following sets a dac value of 0x20 for pulsing octant-6/stations 2&3/all gaps: phoncs0:mjl> calib Give DAC value (hex) to use 20 Give station, octant and gap to pulse (seperated by blanks) A gap (station or octant) value of zero means all gaps (stations or octants) while a value of 23 for station means stations 2 & 3 23 6 0 Hex files prepared, now calling smt_calib.acf ..... I have not been able to test this program on the actual calibration system yet. If you want to verify it works you would have to set a particular configuration and then check the lights on the front panels of the driver boards on the eyebrow platform. The "key" to what lights should be lit for the channels you turned on is posted on the back door of rack 3 next to the calibration crate.
