High pT suppression: particle dependence (II)
Rcp (ratio central/peripheral) at intermediate pT = 2. – 4. GeV/c:
- (i) (anti)baryons: p, pbar, Λ, Λbar NOT suppressed in central Au+Au.
- (ii) mesons: p0, k0s equally suppressed.
Different production mechanisms for baryons & mesons in the intermediate pT range (e.g. quark recombination vs. fragmentation).
