pQCD-compatible high-pT yield increase (130  200 GeV)

• Nch(200/130) ~ independent of centrality: roughly the same amount suppression per centrality at both energies.

  • DNch(130  200)soft ≈ +15% at low pT in agreement with global multiplicity increase.

• DNch(130  200)hard ≈ +15%  +100% increase at high pT in agreement with pQCD predictions (mini-jet production).
