The PHENIX Experiment
The primary goals of the PHENIX Experiment at
RHIC(the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at
Brookhaven National Laboratory)
are to detect a new phase of matter, the quark-gluon plasma (QGP),
and to measure its properties.
The strategy of PHENIX is to study leptonic, photonic, and hadronic
signatures in the same experiment.
